Denver Wedding
Janet and Mark, really good family friends, got married on 08-08-08. Kira and I went to Denver to attend the wedding. Kira presented their rings and I read the 3rd blessing (seven blessings total). Janet incorporated some of her Jewish traditions into the wedding. It was beautiful and personal. They got married in the Denver Botanical Garden. Lush and fragrant. After, we went to the Mercury Cafe for a wedding buffet lunch. They served a huge salmon. We then went up to the dance floor and everyone participated in the Jewish dance. Mark hired Salsa instructors to teach everyone how to salsa and tango. Fun workout. We ate cupcakes and visited. The next day Mark and Janet hosted a catered barbecue in the City Park. Everyone ate turkey, roast, beans, cornbread, and coleslaw. We played volleyball, horse shoes, croquet, and other fun games. After a long fun day, Kira and I shopped at Cherry Creek Mall where she purchased some school clothes. We had dinner and then saw "Mama Mia." Great mother/daughter movie. It was a fun quick trip. Congratulations Mark and Janet!
