Day Trip

So, what do you do with two rambunctious kids on a Saturday, who are bored and bouncing off the walls?  You take them to U-Dig Fossils Trilobite quarry, outside of Delta, to pounds rocks for three hours.  We saw some cool things along the way: Old Phillips 66 gas station, a boot tree and unique cows.  The kids had a blast and wore themselves out.  We collected some neat trilobite fossils.  On the way home and right before Sky fell asleep, he told us that this was the best Summer day so far. It gave Sierra and I a chance to sing together and talk.  Kira elected to stay home and sleep.  Too bad.
