Grandma Rachel

My Grandma passed away this month on August 6th.  She was 90 years old.  She was an excellent cook and told funny stories.  Scott had asked her permission to marry me.  She told me he would be a great husband and father. She had a great bond with Scott.  My Grandma Rachel loved to cross stitch and made my kids many gifts, from bookmarks to initialed towels and pillowcases.  Her house was the meeting place for family reunions and get-togethers.  I will miss making tamales with her and watching her form the perfect tortillas.  She was a smart, insightful and wonderfully stubborn woman. I hope I live a long enriched life like her.
